Hot Stamping

LouisVuittonHotStamping (18)

I’m sure you all know the Louis Vuitton initials on bags and small leather goods, right? But you might not know HOW it’s done since
the Hot Stamping Service is usually done in a back-room. I wanted to find out more about this service – here is my documentation:

Picture 2-6 First choose which item you want to be personalized:
The Hot Stamping Service is provided for bags, small leather goods or luggage tags.
Then you can choose from 3 different sizes of letters and 18 colours.

7 Once you’ve made your decision the game is on:

The Hot Stamping expert prepares the desired letters and inserts them in the machine.

8 Then he cuts off a piece of paper from your chosen colour

9 Now the expert places the luggage tag (or bag) on the stamping arm

10 A practice tag helps to ensure the correct temperature of the Hotstamping machine (130°).

11+12 The machine needs 2 seconds to press gold/silver and 3 seconds for other colours.

14 When it’s done the expert checks if the colour is well printed. Et Voilà!
After a couple of minutes you’ll receive your very special and unique product.

Pssst: The service is free for Louis Vuitton customers.
Pssst II: Happy Easter!!

That sounds amazing, fun with a gift item like a wallet!

When I was little I used to see some of my Mum’s friend’s with these bags with “LV” on……I used to say to my Mum when I am older I wan’t one of those bags, and asked what the “LV” stood for?……She told me it stood for “LUNCH VOUCHER’S”, and the women who had them, saved their lunch vouchers up and eventually exchanged it for the bag! I couldn’t wait until I started work!! I used to believe in the shoe fairy too!!xxxx

That is such a cute stamp, you’re sooo lucky you got to do this!! I wish I could get a stamp as well from LV!!! <3 I've just post up my first ever LAYERING post with step-by-step images of provoking layers! I credit the provocation to the Stella McCartney SS13 Perspex Sandals but still, do tell me what you think! ;)
