From an early age on water was by far my favourite element, even though I did not grew up anywhere near the ocean. Every summer when we traveled either to Greece or Croatia and I got off the plane, welcome hugged by this unmistakable salty sea breeze I immediately felt at home. This summer’s trip to Corfu was no exception. Salty finger tips, sandy toes and an endless ocean view!
I just love greek islands, there’s so much to discover, and Corfu in particular with its millions of olive trees (over 5 millions to be precise) and thousands of cats is something very special. One week of reading books in the shadow of palm trees, eating tsatsiki like a maniac and listening to the ocean’s poetic whispers. It was a heavenly break from the multimedia universe but now I’m back, fully inspired, with tons of exciting things and projects to share with you!
My top 3 when in Corfu:
– a trip to the capital city Kerkyra (= Corfu City)
– visit the Achilleion – a beautiful palace built by Sisi, the Empress of Austria
– discover the Sandy Beach near Agios Georgios & drink some wine in a small greek tavern
