Getting a first glimpse backstage right before a runway show is my favourite thing to do during fashionweek. You get a first impression of the collection, the girls, the mood. You breathe with all the busy bees, chat with the models, take a peek at the hair & make-up products and meet lovely colleagues. This time I went backstage at Kaviar Gauche – a german label which, in my opinion, is the epitome of fairytale dresses. Fragile lace worn by fragile girls (some looked like small birds fallen out of their nest, I just wanted to hug and comfort them…) walking past giant metal flowers. I secretly touched the sheer tulle and imagined myself floating across the runway in this breathtakingly beautiful gowns. There is something magical happening you can’t really describe. Something is born backstage and we are all part of it. I’m glad I can share this with you. stay tuned for more backstage & runway material from Berlin Fashionweek or check out my previous reports. Happy weekend!
