For me as artist and visual storyteller inspiration is everything and I’m always searching for new „brain food“. Here are my tips on how to get fresh inspiration:
1. NEW PLACES
My main inspiration definitely comes from all my travels and the discovery of new places. May it be a damn-cool café, a cute little shop or a park you’ve never been to: finding a new spot can be very inspiring and it’s also great fun.
2. MAGAZINES & BOOKS
As you know I’m obsessed with all kinds of moodboards – may it be virtual edits, flatlays or „real“ pins on my office board. I love to collect quotes from magazines, tear out my favourite editorials or lookbook shots and mix it all together. Making these moods keeps my mind creative and its the main source of inspiration when it comes to plan new editorials and projects…
An unusual colour combination you’ve spotted in a painting or a photograph might be the perfect inspiration for your next outfit… Exhibitions, books or articles – you’ll always find something interesting when you dip into art!
4. GOOGLE & PINTEREST
The world wide web provides a bazillion ideas and inspirations – just enter a keyword (e.g. black white photography) and you’ll get tons of informations and pictures that’ll keep you inspired for days. Feel free to follow me on Pinterest for daily inspos and moods….
It’s so much fun to spend some time in my favourite cafe, watching people come and go, hear what they talk about, see what they like to wear. A great inspiration boost!
