ZURICH. What a charming city with warmhearted people, beautiful old buildings and tons of chocolate! I bumped into Kiefer Sutherland and drank champagne on Ellen Page’s roof terrace. I’ve ridden wooden horses on the Carousel and bought the most expensive (but most delicious) chocolate ever. Welcome to the largest city in Switzerland! Here’s my guide to Zurich in 48 hours:

WHERE TO STAY

WIDDER HOTEL // Rennweg 7 / Boutique Hotel with 42 unique rooms and one of the best Whiskey Bars in the world. The Widder bar is a must for any whiskey lover and there’s live piano music every night. The hotel breakfast was beyond delicious and the heavenly bed made me sleep like a baby. It’s also very centrally located and perfect for a city trip! Thx to the Widder Team for spoiling me!

WHAT TO VISIT

RÖSSLIRYTSCHUEL // Rathausbrücke // One of my highlights was this Carrousel ride, because I’ll always be a child at heart. Only 1 CHF!
OPERA HOUSE // Falkenstrasse 1 // A beautiful building with lots of chairs in front of it. Grab one & relax.
CHAGALL WINDOWS AT FRAUMÜNSTER CHURCH // Münsterhof 2 // One of Zurichs Must-Sees are beautiful stained glass windows by Marc Chagall. Just sit down for a few minutes and enjoy this blue, green and yellow art piece.
LIMMATQUAI // The famous pedestrian zone along the Limmat river. Lovely to stroll around and watch the ships come and go.
FRAU GEROLDS GARDEN + FREITAG TOWER // Geroldstrasse 23 // A pop up area in the young zurich disctrict „Zurich West“, with Shops and Bars. It’s a hybrid between a beer garden, a circus and a container village and definitely a lovely place to hang out. Make sure to climb the nearby Freitag Tower for a great view over Zurich!
MUSEUM FÜR GESTALTUNG // Toni-Areal, Pfingstweidstrasse 96 // Great modern museum with lots of art exhibitions (e.g. the Steve McCurry exhibition)

WHERE TO EAT & DRINK

BOUCHERIE AUGUST // Rennweg 1 // Restaurant specialised in Meat. Best Icetea & Zurich Ragout (Geschnetzeltes)!
LA STANZA // Bleicherweg 10 // Best Espresso in town as seen here
CONDITOREI SCHOBER // Napfgasse 4 // Traditional coffee house, very cute place with yummy cakes
SCHWARZENBACH // Münstergasse 17 // Lovely tea & coffee house where you can get freshly roasted coffee
CAKE FRIENDS // Torgasse 3 // Young & modern coffee shop

WHERE TO SHOP

BLUMENBINDER REGULA GUHL // Oberdorfstrasse 10 // One of the most beautiful flower shops in town
NEUMARKT 17 // Scandinavian interior & modern bits and pieces.
LÄDERACH CHOCOLATIER // Bahnhofstrasse 106 // Chocolate heaven!!! Try the Fudge Caramel Chocolate
AESOP // Oberdorfstrasse 2 // Not typical swiss but always worth a visit…
BAHNHOFSTRASSE // One of the worlds most expensive shopping streets (186.000 CHF per year for 1m2!). Definitely a Must-See!

Thx to Patricia for the Insider Tipps & the Snaps of me <3
