I guess I’m not the only one spending hours/weeks/days on Pinterest, drooling over all the scandi homes, with their white floors and stucco ceilings, wishing I could live in one of these danish apartments. But the fact that I don’t have a white-washed floor doesn’t stop me from making the most out of my home (and work space). I just love inspiring interior! As you guys asked for more insights into my home, I thought I’d start with our Dining Room, sharing some tips on how to make it picture perfect:

BIG, BRIGHT TABLE // Let’s be honest: It all starts with the table as it’s the heart of every dining area! A bright, white table makes the room look bigger plus it’s easier to build everything around it (e.g. playing with colour and accessories).

MIX & MATCH // I love to mix different chairs, like a few new ones paired with some great finds from the fleamarket. It’s important to keep one element the same – may it be the colour, the style or the height – that makes the dining room look well-balanced. I went with all-white, but when it comes to chair cushions I like to choose different shades and textures.

AN EYE CATCHING CARPET // Finally got my hands on my dream Carpet – an original Beni Ourain from Marrakech. This carpet is hand made and thanks to its geometric pattern it is definitely an eye-catching element in every dining room!

PICTURE PERFECT // A wall full of inspiring pictures and prints is another eye-catcher in the dining area! If you hang your pictures „salon style“ it will give you the opportunity to make your art wall „grow“ and it’s great fun to add and remove pieces regularly. Makes fleamarket hunting even more fun!

ACCESSORIZE! // As we all know it’s the little things that make life interesting. Same goes for decoration. Choose a nice bouquet of fresh flowers as table highlight or a bunch of scented candles. Also a great-looking vase is always worth the investment!
