As the nightwear-as-daywear trend is hitting the streets, involving silky slip dresses and pyjamas, I see a lot of question marks on female faces. To admit I was quite sceptical about it too, but it turned out to be a perfect choice for summer sundowners and dinner parties.
Here are a few tipps how to master the pyjama trend:
The easiest way to successful pyjama dressing is to pick a silky smooth shirt or cami top. Pair it with non-nightwear basics such as our trusted 501 or cropped flares.
If you prefer to wear a pyjama-like bottom make sure to dress down everything else to keep the look clean and modern. That’s why I’ve picked a simple tank and neutral leather sandals for a relaxed summer silhouette.
Choose subtle colours and non-printed fabrics. There might be a few people out there who can pull of a turquoise flower printed silk pyjama without looking like a sleepwalker BUT the rest of humanity should stick to black/white & neutrals.
Last but not least it all comes down to the fabric choice. Everything made of silk is perfect but don’t overdue it with additional lace. That could be borderline bedroom… All in all a silky smooth fabric is best in summer and so is a dash of pajama vibes. Definitely worth a try!
