For years and years Vienna has been rated as one of the most livable cities in the world and I couldn’t agree more! This city has so much to offer, especially the 7th district Neubau is one of my favorite places. With its unique atmosphere it has become a modern place-to-be for lots of inspiring artists, creatives and promising brands such as neubau eyewear.

This brand is the new kid in town, offering affordable glasses made in Austria, and its modern approach to eyewear definitely reflects the individual character of Neubau. As I get a lot of requests from you asking me about the coolest places in Vienna the launch of neubau eyewear was the perfect opportunity to share my favourite spots in Viennas coolest district. Here we go:

Vienna is known as the city of coffee houses, cakes and good music. Sitting together, drinking a Melange and having a chat is something quite traditional in Austria. Neubaus urban coffee houses such as Kaffemik (Zollergasse 5) or Das Möbel (Burggasse 10) take this tradition and translate it into a more modern way. If you just like to hang out, watching people passing by, the Museumsquartier or Café Europa (Zollergasse 8) are the perfect places. TIP: Visit Ungar Grill (Burggasse 97) and have a Hugo at the rustic pub garden for fuzz-free summer vibes.

A stone’s throw away from my home is one of my new favorite lunch places, the Erich (Neustiftgasse 27). They have great avocado tacos, yummy lemonades and their Quinoa Bowl is super tasty!! Another favorite when it comes to healthy food is Sapa (Lindengasse 35), a vibrant restaurant that offers the best asian food. Try the PhoXao Chay, that’s my absolute favorite dish. The best pizza & pasta you’ll find at I Ragazzi (Burggasse 6), great burgers at Die Burgermacher (Burggasse 12) and the best Wiener Schnitzel at Gasthaus Schilling (Burggasse 103).

For an unique experience you should check-in at the Hotel am Brillantengrund (Bandgasse 4). It’s a budget friendly hotel, very close to all the cool spots, an the owner’s mom cooks delicious philippino food at the hotel restaurant! Another great choice would be the 25hours Hotel (Lerchenfelder Str. 1-3), a colourful boutique hotel with an amazing view over the city.

Shopping-wise Neubau has a lot to offer: From small fashion boutiques like Comerc (Westbahnstrasse 20), to my favorite gift shop Die Sellerie (Burggasse 21) or the always amazing fashion & interior store Kauf Dich Glücklich (Kirchengasse 9).
Make sure to stop by at Sous Bois (Neustiftgasse 33)– such a cute store with amazing stationary and selected HAY pieces…

Auf einem der Bilder ist doch ein Papeterie-Laden zu sehen, nicht wahr? Welcher ist das?
