FASHION WEEK. Hello from buzzing Berlin! Today is DAY 3 at Berlin Fashion Week and lots of great things are going on around here. This time I arrived a bit earlier to spend the Monday at the Weleda Atelier where I got to learn more about sustainable fashion and organic beauty.
In 2016 Weleda celebrates 90 years of Skin Food, a rich creme that has been a secret weapon for lots of artists, make up pros and yours truly. It nourishes dry skin perfectly (think air condition & long distance flights) which makes it a true beauty essential. A must-try!

On tuesday I had the chance to meet Anja & Sandra Umann, the lovely girls behind Umasan, a vegan high fashion brand focusing on minimalistic design. Anja worked at Yohji Yamamoto in Paris before she started her own label and her love for detail (even the buttons are vegan) and innovative materials (like Japanese paper or Eukalyptus) really impressed me.

Eco-friendly products have become more and more popular these days and I think it’s our responsibilty to choose fair working conditions and natural materials over chemical madness. Since I work in fashion my wardrobe changed a lot – I try to avoid impulsive buys, mass consumption or clothes produced in low-wage countries (which is quite a challenge) and focus on high quality materials instead. I’ve already shared my thoughts about this topic a couple of years ago…

However, one of my Tuesday highlights was the Malaikaraiss Show. Malaika is always a guarantor for cool and urban fashion. Loved the layering, the mesh details and the shoes. I want these pompom sandals like NOW!! And how cool is that silky slip dress? Great great show!

Alright, I gotta go. Another exciting fashion day at Berlin Fashion Week is waiting for me! Follow me on Snapchat to see everything!
