Leaving investment cases like bags aside, I probably spend most of my money on knitwear. Seems like Mohair & Cashmere is my guilty pleasure, but how could you not love/wear/buy knits when days are getting shorter and it’s getting pretty cold outside? Here’s a list of the best knits around (for every budget) + my all-time favorite knits that are living in my closet or at least on my wishlist:
I couldn’t make it through Fall/Winter without a cosy Cardigan. It’s such a great piece for relaxed weekends, running errands or lazy office days. Just throw it over a simple T-shirt or even layer it over other knits. Worth the investment! My favorite is the Raya Cardigan from Acne Studios (wearing it here for example), but there are amazing budget versions from &otherstories, Vila and Selected Femme.
I clearly have a soft spot for chunky, oversized knits. I’m obsessed with this cable knit sweater and it’s pretty much part of my current office uniform. When it comes to statement knitwear Stella McCartney knows the drill but also have a look at Mango if you’re searching for nice, budget friendly sweaters.
Gotta love a good cashmere sweater. I mean, who doesn’t love this heavenly soft fabric? But you don’t have to spend a fortune to add this kind of knit to your closet. There are great ones available at Zara, &otherstories, COS and Vince. If you have a bit more of a budget I can totally recommend 81hours and Joseph. Just keep in mind: a classic cashmere sweater never goes out of style.
Structured Knits are great when the rest of the Outfit is pretty simple. Cable knits or Rib Knit Sweaters instantly add some interesting textures to every look. I also love this braided version from Ganni and this Alpaca Sweater from Closed.
