WHITE-WASHED PARADISE: CHARISMA SUITES SANTORINI

Right behind a picturesque windmill, carefully nested into the cliffs of Oia, lies a white-washed paradise called Charisma Suites. This minimalistic dream hotel with it’s spectacular Caldera view (Santorini’s famous volcanic crater-like bay) is definitely one of the most breathtaking places on Santorini Island. And one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been to, I might add.

Smiling faces everywhere, greeting you with fresh fruits and local wine, while you still have no words for this epic view over the Aegean Sea. Or let’s put it this way: when you find yourself standing on your own private terrace featuring a jacuzzi with jade-green water bubbling inside, you might be speechless too…

It’s this intimate atmosphere (only 8 private suites are available) that made me choose Charisma Suites for our Greek Vacation. And boy, it was a once in a lifetime experience, worth every single penny. From the legendary breakfast on our private terrace, munching waffles with fresh fruits and chocolate (lots of!) and the sun-soaked reading hours by/in the whirlpool (sounds cheesy but is heaven on earth) to the epic sunset views with complimentary champagne. It doesn’t get better than this…

So yes, I would trade my Viennese office for this calm sanctuary any day. And for the chocolate waffles, of course…
