INVESTMENT CASE: SUMMER BASICS
Now that summer slowly kicks in, it’s the perfect time to invest in lightweight basics. I’m talking about those reliable closet classics that will take us through summer, no matter what. Simple pieces that can be combined in countless ways and will never let us down. Think loose white shirts, spun from super light cotton, like this airy Edited Shirt. It is by far the softest cotton shirt I’ve ever owned and it will be my absolute hero piece on a hot summer day. You can wear it the classic way, knot the front or leave it open and wear it over your bikini.
Another summer basics would be a pair of relaxed culottes. The breezy silhouette is perfect when it’s boiling hot outside and will serve you well on and off-duty. Culottes can be easily transformed from day to night, just change the sandals for pointy kitten heels and you’re set.
Next up: the versatile summer sandal. This is the perfect everyday pair that worksvwith denim skirts, cropped jeans or summer dresses. Invest in classic block heel sandals for all-day comfort and a little extra height. Colorwise I’d suggest black or nude for the ultimate versatility.
