While some people are good at slackline balancing or handlettering (I totally suck at both), my expertise lies in hunting down great basics. Ask me about workday essentials or the best white T-Shirt and I might come up with an ecstatic monologue. So I thought I’d continue with my little basic 101 (as many of you requested) and talk about another important wardrobe staple: the perfect blazer.
I just looove wearing blazers, it’s this type of clothing that always works for me. May it be a velvet version, a wool jacket, chic satin or the black classic like my latest addition from the Margaux Lonnberg x Mija collection. A blazer is incredibly versatile – it’s embodies confidence and sophistication but can easily dressed down with jeans and sneakers. For me the perfect blazer has the following features:
– Boyish Fit = Straight
– Slightly Loose
– Side Pockets
– Button Closure
– Subtle Monochromes (black or charcoal)
So if you’re going to invest in a classic blazer, make sure to choose good quality and a great fit! This honestly is my biggest criteria when buying basics because we all want someting long-lasting right?
