Modern Knitwear Guide I More on

Within the years I’ve developed a serious expertise in modern knitwear: Fluffy Cardigans, Chunky Turtlenecks and XL Knits are my everyday essentials during Fall/Winter. No matter if I’m freezing or feeling sad, stressed or insecure: Cozy knits always got me covered.

As I get so many compliments and questions regarding my ever growing knitwear collection + where to find the best pieces, I decided to share a little knitwear guide. For every budget, of course:

Investing in a high-quality knit is something you’ll never regret! Although designer knitwear doesn’t automatically equal high quality, there are some brands that truly offer amazing pieces. My all-time favorite brand for chunky & super soft knits is Acne Studios. I’m wearing my mohair cardigans and wool sweaters for many years know and they are still in great shape. In my eyes this is a brand worth an investement, just like Joseph and Closed. Both brands offer incredible cashmere knits and alpaca pieces and are highly recommend. Other knitwear favorites: Isabel Marant (she’s an expert in statement sweaters), Iris von Arnim, 81hours and Aiayu (sustainable knitwear from Denmark).

Most of the knits I own are from the mid-price segment. As I said before: you don’t have to buy designer stuff to get high-quality knits. Most of these mid-range brands offer amazing quality for a reasonable price. My absolute favorite Jumpers are from &otherstories (like this one from the Pictures below) and Selected Femme. I’m wearing them 24/7 and the fabric is super soft and stays in shape. Samsoe & Samsoe are also doing lovely knits and I also like Topshop Boutique  and COS.

If I’m in the mood for something less basic, I like to take a look at Mango. I must admit that I’m quite keen on the latest Mango collections, since the’re super affordable but still on trend. Though I’m not always happy with the quality… Another budget-friendly option is Edited. The german fashion brand (which I dearly love) has some bad-ass knits and lots of affordable options. Or Zara, of course.

What are your knitwear favorites and go-to brands? Tell me!

    Alles Liebe,
