The good thing about holidays (or, in my case, a flu) is that you’ve got plenty of time to make all kinds of plans. But instead of lousy promises like ‘I’ll use my bike more often’ or ‘I’ll finally finish all my unread books’ I made a Travel Bucket List. To be honest this could be as lousy as the promises above, if you never manage to actually go there, but I’m really really working on the „been there/done that“ status. So here are my most wanted MUST SEE places on earth (although there are hundreds more, but I tried to cut it down to this Top 6):
AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND // This definitely will be the toughest part since it’s hours and timezones and even seasons away. But although I haven’t been there I’m a huge Australia fan and I wanna see all the different climates, islands and cities that this continent has to offer. PS: I’m living in Austria not Australia. Big difference – otherwise I would be happily sweating right now haha.
NEW YORK // Trust me: I’m as buffled as you that I still haven’t been to NYC but who can say that he’s been to New Orleans, Graceland & Toronto instead? Me Me Me. Still missing the Empire state of Mind tough. Therefore: If you could make it to New York, your list is getting real…
SANTORINI // I’m so gonna get there next year! Can’t wait to visit this epic greek island!
ICELAND // Seals, hot springs, whale watching, expensive booze, freezing cold air, happy people in front of fireplaces, breathtakingly beautiful nature. Iceland is one of my Top Pinterest places and all my friends who have been there are still over the moon. I NEED TO GO TO ICELAND!!!!
BARCELONA // Trying to go there for 3 years now – no joke!! Always too late for affordable flights & hotels. No joke! Although almost the entire world has already been to the W Hotel and the Mango Show. I haven’t. No joke. Olé!
LAS VEGAS // I’m a fan of crazy places, that’s why Las Vegas and it’s fake monuments sound perfect to me. Maybe I’ll do it the „catch me if you can“-way and charter a private jet straight from my NYC vacay. 2 birds with one stone? That could be a game changer…
What’s on your travel bucket list? Tell me!
