So much Milano, so little time… These 3 days at Milan Fashion Week went by just like that. I guess a fashion week minute is equally fast-paced than a New York minute… It’s always amazing to see what one can actually do/see/achieve within three days. Good food and sightseeing included. Or let’s say at least I’ve seen the Duomo and the marvellous Galleria. But let’s talk about my highlights from Milan Fashion Week:
This was my favorite show, not only because I got an Espresso and some Dolce right before the show started. Inspired by the sea and Japanese influences, the Sportmax SS17 colletion was all about seawave prints, rouching, drawstring ruffles, raffia hats and beautiful cut-out knitwear. And I think I’ve found my dream bucket bag. You can see the full collection here.
Oh Fendi!! Although I’m no fan of the furry side of Fendi, I love to see what Karl comes up with every season. His playful, fun and feminine designs are just epic. This rococo inspired Jacket with the cut-out at the back, the sock shoes, these floaty floral fabrics in muted colours. Soo good!
DIESEL BLACK GOLD
I want that white ruffle dress, chucks and a fishnet tote that will instantly beam me to a warm and sunny island. Including rosé wine and freshly grilled fish. Or I want these white embroidered jeans, a tanktop and killer booties and party hard with Anthony Vaccarello. Both sounds good. Just like the collection…
Another favorite was Jil Sander. Of course!! I mean how could you not love these white striped suits? Or these sophisticated pleated dresses? And I must say I also liked these rich shades of brown and the exaggerated shoulders (hello, Vetements!?). Sometimes you gotta think outside the box…Watch the SS17 show here.
Got lost in Jimmy’s Jungle or should I say green room… Filled with all the shoes & bags we want next summer (I’m look at YOU – woven raffia espadrilles!) with a side of humming birds and good vibes. Yes Please!
