Thoughts on Personal Style. As a passionate „out of the box“ thinker I love to experiment with clothes and try to come up with different ways to wear them. A dress worn as shirt (like this amazing Edited piece)? Why not? A skirt that is actually an easy summer dress? Yes please! Giving clothes a personal touch is something we all should do more often, not only because it’s fun (and that’s what fashion should be, after all) but also because it will make your style unique.
In times of „textile clones“ flooding my Instagram Feed I pretty much got the feeling that the term „personal style“ somehow got lost on the way… People are blindly copying others instead of making their own rules. Girls, strutting in front of Fashion Week Venues, dressed head-to-toe in luxe brands, in the wrong belief that this makes them more photoworthy. Or worthy in general. This makes me sad (and bored).
We need to start question ourselves: Do I want to look like xyz or do I want to look and feel like „me“??
Truth is, not everybody will like your personal style and you’ll never please everyone but you know what: that’s absolutely fine! As long as you feel 100% YOU instead of dressing up like somebody else, you will find your personal style and be much happier than any of these soulless clones…
