If I had to name one trending colour that is currently all over the place, successfully sneaking into our Insta Feeds and monochrome wardrobes, it would definitely be Millennial Pink. The question is: If even the most passionate black/white/grey minimalists like yours truly tend to grab a blush-lined bomber jacket or a pale-pink shearling collar, then what’s the secret of this colour? Time to decode Millenial Pink for a second:
The colour is defined as „range between beige with just a touch of blush to a peach-salmon hybrid“ (as described per THE CUT) and is also known as Scandi Pink. But in my opinion this is way more than just a trend shade. It’s a colour of a generation, a message.
It seems like in times of terror, war threads, body shaming and climate change, we all long for a glimmer of hope and seeking happy and carefree moments. And if it’s only for one split second, wearing a touch of blush instantly gives us these positive vibes we all need right now. Simple yet effective. Maybe it’s like being child again, protected and invulnerable.
Whatever it is, Millennial Pink is uplifiting and hopping on the bandwagon is highly recommended…
