Didn’t we all think that pastels where only made for peony-loving, coffee-table-book collecting humans with a passion for ice cream colours? Well, it’s about time to think twice and approach pastels in a more modern way!
Blame it on the permanent grey winter skies or simply my Millenial Pink syndrome that I decided to choose a blush top + a pastel pink velvet bag for Milan Fashion Week. Let’s be honest: Only Jil Sander could come up with this kind of pastel transparency that looks smashing cool. But with a few Tipps & Tricks you can also master the Spring 2018 Pastelmania. Here is how to make it work:
– The key is to keep anything else decent and monochrome, like back or navy. That will give any candy colour a mature upgrade.
– Avoid mixing pastels with whites or other light colours, to prevent a too girly touch.
– To balance out the Look, choose simple, slightly masculine details. Like tailored Blazers or sturdy boots. That will give any ice-cream colour a more modern touch.
