Waiting is a bittersweet game. It’s an undeniable part of our life (we spend alone 27 days of our lives waiting for trains and busses) but in fact waiting for something specific can feel like ages. We wait for our wages, the metro, birthday and christmas feasts and sometimes we just wait for better days.
And while we do that, we long for that moment/that day/the arrival like a lost wanderer for a glass of water. Our thoughts turn. Thinking about it. Over and over again. And maybe we forget to see all the beauty around us because we’re so occupied by this waiting game.
Waiting is like a chemical reaction: you feel the anticipation grow and grow, just like a molecule, and once the moment is here it explodes like a shed full of fireworks. And everything starts all over again. Reason enough to believe: life is about the journey. Not the destination.
