THE BEIGE EFFECT.
If someone had told me 2 years ago, that someday I’ll trade my winter monochromes (= black/white that is) for all kinds of beige and brown I most certainly would have laughed in disbelief. And look where we are today…
Beige is the new black
There is something about the beige effect that makes even scientists and psychologists come up with interesting theories. Some say that the rise of neutrals, especially beige, is linked to the recent terror attacks and our urge for security. As black, a „dark and mysterious“ colour, is still linked to riots/war/terror, light colours like beige symbolize positivity, stability and a peaceful mind. So what scientists basically claim is, that we choose to surround ourselves with neutral colours in order to keep a positive mind set. Like a sartorial peace demonstration. An interesting thought, which I like to share…
No wonder this beige Turtleneck Sweater by my fashion friends at EDITED (by the way: love their new collection!) and that gorgeous Camel Blazer are one of my favorite pieces this Winter. Beige is such a sophisticated colour – it’s calming and goes with simply anything from my wardrobe. So if you’re still searching for a super warm wool sweater that has the perfect oversized shape: make it this one.
