LA MAMOUNIA MARRAKECH

Imagine you step into a palace of white marble and silk coated walls, where oranges hanging from over 700 trees and the air is kissed by scents of jasmine, dates and ceddar wood. Wouldn’t that be paradise?
In fact, this heaven on earth is just a 4-hour flight away from winter climates (read: Austria) and once you’ve entered the La Mamounia, sipping the welcome almond milk, you instantly know that there’s no place where you’d rather be!

During our 4 days in Marrakech we were constantly speechless and overwhelmed by this luxurious gem, surrounded by the most beautiful garden (which was, a thousand years ago, a wedding present from the Moroccan king to his son), and all it’s comforts.
It’s the details, like fresh roses in our Suite, olive oil from the garden served with warm bread, hand crafted stucco work or the camel-leather covered elevators, that makes the La Mamounia one of the best Hotels in the world. And if that’s not enough gorgeousness you can rest your soul at the 2,500 square metre spa…

And don’t get me started on the open-air breakfast right at the steaming pool (#painauchocolat) or the dreamy dinner at the hotel’s own Moroccan Restaurant (#livemusicandmoroccanrosé)! Ok ok enough mouth-watering details – this definitely was one unforgettable weekend in Marrakech and it’s more than certain that we will come back!
