POSTCARDS FROM MALLORCA
If anyone would have told me a couple of years ago that Mallorca could be so much more than a spanish isle full of drunken trolls and sing-alongs on crowded beaches, I would have had difficulties believing it. But now that I’ve been there and become an official eye witness I can absolutely testify: This island is so much more! In these five days that I spend in the North I’ve seen the most beautiful (empty!) beaches, white washed cliffs and greener-than-green sceneries. Or let’s just put it this way: Mallorca is a photogenic bitch!
Although we had a dreamy basecamp aka the most beautiful Finca (private pool and home cinema included) in Pollenca, we spend the entire week driving around Mallorca, discovering breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and beaches. Finally I got to wear my new summer sandals, my uber-cute beach bag (a souvenir from my Marrakech holiday earlier this year) and all the summer shenanigans we can’t wear in Vienna right now…
My favorite place was the lighthouse in Formentor – paradise with a sea view… And the best thing was that I got to do what I love most: Taking pictures. I shot the whole Travel Diary with my Olympus Pen Camera and I’m so in love with the outcome!! Nothing is more annoying than schlepping tons of equipment with you while all you want is to enjoy the moment and the stunning view. That’s why I love the Olympus cams – they are pleasantly handy but offer a ridiculosuly good quality!
However – I can’t wait to be back in Mallorca and get hypnotised by the sound of the ocean…
