2. CONTEMPORARY COOL: NANUSHKA
The brand: Budapest based Label Nanushka was found in 2006 by Sandra Sandor, right
after she graduated from the London College of Fashion. All pieces are made in Europe.
The aesthetic: Hungarian Simplicity. Nanushka delivers an effortless day to night wardrobe for the modern woman. Confident ease meets subtle feminity. I love everything about the new collection!!
Key Pieces for FW18: Fall Neutrals meet Polkadots meet Faux Leather Puffers. My favorites are definitely the polka dot blouse, the incredible comfy high-rise jeans (definitely a wardrobe staple!) and the checked trench coat.
2. LONDON LOW-KEY: REJINA PYO
The brand: London-based, Korean-born designer Rejina Pyo launched her eponymous womanswear label in 2014 . She graduated at Central Saint Martins and has worked as an assistant for Roksanda Illincic.
The aesthetic: Can’t describe how much I love Rejina!! My second Wedding Dress was designed by her and I adore her eye for timeless simplicity. Her pieces are wearable, low-key yet always extraordinary. Definitely a must-buy!
Key Pieces for FW18: Oversized silhouettes, chunky layers, statement buttons (the label’s signature) and sharp tailoring. Obsessed with the sculpted silhouette blazer, the rouched shirt dress and the vintage-inspired trench.
3. BUCKLE UP: BOYY
The brand: Established in 2006 by NYC based designers Jesse Dorey and Wannasiri Kongmann their label BOYY has become famous for oversized buckles and modern handbags.
The aesthetic: timeless women’s accessories with a mix between masculine and feminine.
Key Pieces for FW18: Fell in love with this tortoisehell-adorned bucket bag straight away!! Thanks to its unusual shape it’s definitely a unique investment piece for Fall. The bag looks amazing when paired with Neutrals, Rust-coloured Pieces or simple Black/White. Also keep an eye on these sleek ankle boots. Stunner!
4. THE LOCAL HERO: PETAR PETROV
The brand: Petar Petrov is definitely the most promising Austrian Designer that’s out there right now! I’ve been adoring his work for quite some time now and I’m excited to see him becoming more and more successful. By the way: Raf Simons was one of his tudors when studying at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Need I say more?
The aesthetic: Petar Petrovs designs are elegant, sophisticated and playful. Always surprising the customer with new fabrics and striking patterns.
Key Pieces for FW18: Oversized Knits, Wrap Shirts, Monochrome Suits and High-Waist Pants. Honestly can’t decide what’s my favorite piece!
5. THE FRENCH EFFECT: JACQUEMUS
The brand: Probably one of the breakthrough labels of 2018, Jacquemus was launched in 2009 by French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.
The aesthetic: The Jacquemus woman is inspired by the woman of his life, especially the memories of his mother who died when he was 18. The collection features lots of asymmetry, draperies and minimalist silhouettes but also bold colours and stunning accessories. Contemporary French chic at its best!
Key Pieces for FW18: The new collection LE SOUK is inspired by Morocco – I’m talking flowing kaftan dresses, knitted skirts and wonderfully draped tops. So gonna get this textured wool blazer!
Now it’s your turn: What’s your favorite of these 5 Brands? Have you already bought something for Fall/Winter?
