Vienna Iced Coffee Guide

Summer calls for iced lattes and refreshing cold brews. Here's my ultimate guide to the best ice coffee spots in Vienna:

Kaffeemik

Kaffemik is probably the tiniest café in town but it's definitely a charmer. Its name comes from the greenlandish tradition kaffemik - which means getting together, having a chat and drink cofffe. Every month they present a special roastery from Europe - a concept which I love dearly. The Iced Coffee never disappoints, but I can also recommend the homemade cold brew. PS: Try the cinnamon buns, if you get the chance. One of the best!

Jonas Reindl

A small café and roastery located in Vienna's student district, Alsergrund. They also opened a second cafe in the 7th, but I prefer this one at the Währingerstrasse. You can either order a traditional Viennese Ice Coffee with a scoop of Schelato Ice Cream or choose a simple but delish iced latte. The latter is my favorite on a boiling hot day!

Erich

Iced Coffee with a side of fresh air. Located in the 7th district on a charming, little square you'll find Erich, my local coffee dealer since 2016. They also have lots of veggie/vegan lunch options and healthy bowls. The ice oatmilk coffee is shaked with large cubes and for the sweet tooths among you: order the Affogato, espresso with Veganista ice cream.

Wolfgang Coffee

One of my favorite coffee shops in the neighbourhood. Wolfgang Coffee is located in the Qwstion Concept Store and what you get is one of the best coffees in town, in the coolest atmosphere. The iced latte is very tasty - thx to the freshly roasted coffee by Süssmund (a Viennese bean roastery) and the to-go cups are made from paper. Yes to all of it!

Hildebrandt Café

One of my favorite discoveries this year is the Hildebrandt Café, which opened in January. They focus on fresh, organic food (try the brunch, it is amazing!) and put a lot of love into this little café. From vintage interior to locally sourced products. A big bonus is the wonderful garden area where you can enjoy an iced oatmilk latte by day or a delicious Cocktail from the Die Parfümerie Pop Up by night. The iced coffee is creamy and very refreshing - highly recommended!

Créme de la Créme

One of my all-time favorite cafés when it comes to weekend brunch time (the homemade Striezel = sweet bread with raspberry marmelade is pure heaven) or cake feasts is the Créme de la Créme. And they now do Iced Coffee too! You can either choose an Iced Latte or a creamy Ice Coffee with a scoop of Vanille ice cream, topped off with a tiny macaron. Sweet!
