ACNE STUDIOS Cardigan (budget here) // T BY ALEXANDER WANG T-Shirt // FIVE UNITS Leather Pants // BAIA Bag // TOPSHOP Sandals

The secret to a well-balanced Look is not only about mixing different textures but also about mastering the three colour rule. That means that you should stick to no more than 3 colours when getting dressed. Following this rule somehow is the key to a effortless, eye-pleasing Outfit. I think it’s the odd number that makes things interesting: While a black & white Outfit for example can be borderline boring, adding a third colour makes it visually more interesting. There are tons of possible combinations, but my all-time three colour favorites would be:

Beige // Black // White (as seen here)
Blue // White // Black (as seen in this Outfit)
Black // White // Grey (as seen above)
Grey // White // Blue (see an example here)

When choosing accessories make sure to repeat one of the three colours. In this Outfit I did a double-match: The bucket bag matches the grey Cardigan and the sandals match the Leather Pants. Jewellery wise you should stick to either gold or silver hardware. Gold works best with warm shades (like beige, khaki, red), while silver is better with cool colours. Et Voilá! What are your favorite colour trios?
