Finding the ideal make-up is almost like finding the perfect pair of Jeans. It comes down to a lot of things:

The look The feel The function

When I got to test the brandnew Shiseido Synchro Skin collection I had high expectations, since Shiseido is known for its high-quality make-up and its minimalistic approach to beauty. And let me tell you: I found some amazing new beauty heroes that I wanna share with you! But before we dig more into the products let's talk about the divine packaging for a second.

THE LOOK

The Synchro Skin collection features a completely new appearance. The packaging is modern and sophisticated, highlighting the brand's signature colours: black & red. Everything from the matte glass foundation bottle to the sleek self-refreshing cushion looks extremely elegant and will upgrade every bathroom shelf. Bonus!

THE FEEL

The highlight product from the new Shiseido collection is without a doubt the Synchro Skin Foundation. This liquid foundation is formulated to synchronize with your skin and it adapts to your skin tone for a flawless finish. And this is definitely what we are all going for, right?

What's totally new is the ActiveForce™ Technology from Japan that helps to protect the finish from effects of sweat, oil and facial movement.

My first impression was a fresh, almost minty feeling on the skin. It didn't feel heavy although the coverage is very good. It also blended in nicely (I used my favorite buffer brush but you can totally use your fingers to tap it onto your skin too) and lasted for several hours on-the-go. Even during our moving hustle, where things can be quite hectic and sweaty, it stayed in place. Good job, Shiseido!

Since my skin is already on the dry side, I didn't use a powder as a finish but if you prefer a powdery finish you might want to try the Invisible Silk Compact Powder

Another highlight for me is the Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing concealer which is probably the best looking concealer I own. From its aesthetic (even the small applicator looks incredible) to its function (great coverage, long-wear effect) I can highly recommend it.

We believe that beauty goes deeper than what is visible to the eye

beauty is sensitive to nature, the climate, light and color, all five senses, and the many intricate details of life itself.

THE FAVORITES

I created this simple Fall make-up using nothing but Shiseido goodness. After the base (foundation + concealer) I applied the Aura Dew highlighter, for some natural shimmer. I also mixed it with a gel to create a wet-look eyeshadow. This is definitely a product I'll be using A LOT this season!

For some simple but moist lips I chose the ColorGel Lipbalm, which has a nice and hydrating feel. Last but not least: black mascara for voluminous lashes. Simple yet effective.

All in all the new Shiseido Synchro Skin collection features a broad range for every skin type and it's definitely a palette I can recommend trying. And maybe you'll find the perfect foundation yourself...
